Find Your Shaka

Hawaii was a life-altering experience for Kiersten and Krista Gormeley, owners of Shaka Bowl in Hoboken, New Jersey.

“When my sister and I lived in Hawaii, we found acai bowls actually this weekend three years ago,” said Krista Gormeley.

The acai berry is full of antioxidants. Each bowl has the acai blended into a smoothie consistency. The berry helps to brighten skin, fight harmful organisms, assists in losing and/or maintaining a healthy weight and promotes skin health.

Skaka Bowl also features their poke bowl, which is a deconstructed sushi, according to employee, Brianna Peguero.

According to their website, “The Shaka version of poké is your choice of sticky white rice, brown rice or mixed greens topped with your choice of protein, mix-ins, and finally garnished with one of Shaka’s signature, savory sauces of your choice.”

Determined to bring the Hawaiian culture to the East Coast, Kiersten and Krista opened Shaka Bowl five months ago.

Waxing Nick!

So my friend was dumb enough to let me purchase a wax kit and wax his entire body. Although, I would like to say he was tortured the entire time, he said it wasn’t that bad. Is it bad it took the fun away that he wasn’t grimacing in pain? Warning! These pictures are not attractive!

I had a great time and I’m thankful Nick sacrificed his skin for the sake of my blog!

Meet Malieva!

I was able to sit down with a fellow beauty lover, Malieva and she shows us how she gets ready for a night out on the town.

Malieva and I instantly bonded last year over our love/addiction to makeup. I sat down with her to figure out what are her go-to products.

Makeup Foever HD Foundation– This is my favorite foundation too!

Beauty Blender– We both swear by this makeup tool. It helps the product melt seamlessly into the skin.

LA Girl Pro Conceal– This product is wallet friendly and you can find at almost any convenience store!

Laura Mercier Translucent Powder– I can not live without a translucent powder! I also really like the RCMA No Color Powder too, it’s only $12 and you get a lot more product.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz– Malieva and I both could not live without this product. Eyebrows always have to be on fleek, da f***.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette– Malieva swears by this palette and loves that it smells like chocolate. This is definitely one that I need to try out because I’ve heard amazing reviews on this palette.

This is just a list of some of the products Malieva used when we sat down together. Definitely give her page a follow at Sprinkled Selfies. You guys can definitely look forward to Malieva and I doing more collabs together in the future, so leave a comment with some ideas! Hope you guys enjoy!
